Meet the Judges
Stacy Koehler
Stacy Koehler has been actively involved in the quilting world for 30 years. She gained Judging Certification in 2005. She has served as Secretary and President of the National Association of Certified Quilt Judges (NACQJ), the successor to the previous NQA’S judging certification program.
Stacy feels privileged to see the results of so many quilters’ effort and to participate in so many quilters’ creative journeys. Beyond awarding ribbons, her judging goal is to make entering a quilt for judging a meaningful step in the quilting career of each entrant, motivating them to make more quilts and to deepen their involvement in the rewarding and supportive quilting community.
Lisa Shreck
Lisa Schreck has judged quilt shows throughout the southeast with national certification completed in 2023. She has recently relocated to her home state of Ohio and looks forward to sharing her love of quilting with the local community.
Lisa has been sewing and crafting for most of her life. Textile needle crafts are her passion and include machine sewing, hand-embroidery, cross-stitch, and crochet. While Lisa has received numerous recognitions, she is most enthusiastic about learning and trying new techniques. She finds the challenge of judging to be an opportunity for continued growth in both technical quiltmaking and critical evaluation skills.
